Well, the Swedes are ready for battle! On the right is the Närke-Värmlands regiment and on the left is the Elfsborg regiment. I really like them, I can't wait for more!

Persian Colonist Cavalry

My Persian DBA army are almost done now. I have only the General left to paint.

No more Swedes today

I had hoped to have the rest of the Swedes done today, but no. Instead here are some pictures from a concert last night. The photos sucks big time, but it is Front 242 and Nitzer Ebb. They were pretty cool, especially Nitzer Ebb who ruled big time!

Swedes

Today Musiketeer Miniatures new Great Northern War Swedes arrived. I got excited and started to paint them right away. The one on the right is from the Närke-Värmlands regemente, while the one on the left is from the Björneborg regemente. I haven't based them yet, but it will be the standard basing that can be seen on other figures.

Repainted shield

Well, I wasn't to happy with the Takabara shields. So after looking at Little Big Men Studios new transfer I got "inspired" to paint mine. Thanks LBMS!

Persian transfers

Good new for all you persian lovers out there. Little Big Men Studios has released transfers for Xyston's Persians. There are three different sheets, for guard infantry, for kardake and for takabara.

Persian Guard cavalry

The third stand in my new Persian DBA army is the Persian Guard Cavalry.

Aitolian army

Here is one more DBA army, this time it's a Aitolian (II/5e) army. In the front are a lot of skirmishers and behind them a small phalanx. In the back are some light cavalry.

Persian Guard infantry

Long time since the last up-date. During October I have been painting an Aitolian DBA army and now I have started on a Late Achaemenid Persian DBA army. This is the first two stands, Persian Guard infantry. Don't forget to look at the trousers on the right stand, they were a real pain to paint. The figures are from Xyston.

Indians

Here are some of my indians.

Alexandrian Macedonian army

Here is my Alexandrian Macedonian army. In the fron we have the ligh troops, Thracians (1xAx, 1xPs) and Greeks (1xAx, 1xPs). Behind them are the phalanx (6xPk), with the Hypaspists to the left. In the center are the Companions (1xKn, 1xCv) and the Prodromoi (1xLH).

This picture is actually old (it's from last weekend), the two Companions are now swapped with a Thessalian cavalry (1xCv) and a nice mounted Makedonian general (with Companions, 1xKn).

Athenian army

This is my Athenian DBA army. In the front we have the Hoplites (8xSp), behind them are the rest (1xCv, 1xLH, 1xAx and 1xPs).

Thracian army

Here is my 15mm Xyston Thracian DBA army. It's 1xCv (in the middle), 2xLH (at both sides of the general), 8xAx (everywhere) and 2xPs (in the front, to the left). They are mid 3rd century BC, so some are Hellenised, some are not.

Greek Skirmishers

Here is some of my greek skirmishers.
